Two Centre County men arrested, accused of sexually abusing teenage girl in Penns Valley

Two Penns Valley men were accused Wednesday of sexual abusing a teenage girl who told investigators it left her mad, scared and uncomfortable.

Raymond L. Warner, 44, of Potter Township, was accused of attempted rape, digital penetration, performing oral sex, groping and unwanted kissing, state police at Rockview wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.

Raymond E. Walker, 19, of Potter Township, was accused of indecent assault after exposing his penis, police wrote.

Warner denied the allegations in an interview with investigators, police wrote. No defense lawyer was listed for either man.

Warner is incarcerated at the Centre County Correctional Facility. A message left Thursday at a number listed for Walker was returned by a woman who identified herself as his mother; she said he is represented by a defense lawyer, but declined to identify who and hung up on a reporter.

Each man was accused of separately abusing the teen in March. The charging document filed against Warner detailed allegations of sexual violence and accused him of making a sexually explicit comment toward the girl.

Warner was charged with one felony count each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with someone less than 16, aggravated indecent assault of someone less than 16 and attempted rape. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of indecent assault of someone less than 16.

Walker was charged with one misdemeanor count each of indecent assault of someone younger than 16 and indecent exposure.

Each were arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Gregory Koehle. Warner was denied bail, with Koehle citing “public safety” as a factor. Walker was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.

Each have a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 17.
