Two dead after crashing into building on Mike Padgett Highway

Two men died early Sunday after crashing into a building on Mike Padgett Highway.

Robert Allen Salter, 62, of Augusta, and Joshua Campagnari, 18, of Jackson, South Carolina, were pronounced dead on the scene just before 2 a.m. Sunday, according to a release from the Richmond County Coroner's Office.

The men were in a vehicle traveling east on Hephzibah McBean Road and failed to stop, crossing over Mike Padgett Highway, according to a news release.

The car came to final rest after striking a building, according to the release. An autopsy will not be done.
