Two Dead After Train and Car Collide in Miami County, Kansas, on Thanksgiving
Two people died after a Union Pacific train collided with a car at a railroad crossing in Miami County, Kansas, on Thanksgiving, Miami County Police told local media.
A man and woman who were inside the car died. No one was injured onboard the train, local said.
The collision set both the vehicle and part of the train caught fire after the impact, police told media.
KSHB-TV reported that the crash sent the vehicle at least a quarter of a mile down the track.
