Two “local deputies”, Artem Trostyansky and Ivan Zhushma, were killed in an attack on a cafe in the occupied city of Lysychansk on Feb. 3, the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti reported on Telegram on Feb. 5, referring to the so-called “mayor” of the city in Luhansk Oblast.

The so-called “LPR Emergency Situations Minister” Alexey Poteleschenko was also reportedly killed in the strike, according to the earlier report by the Moscow-appointed governor of Luhansk, Leonid Pasechnik.

They had reportedly gathered to celebrate the birthday of deputy Ivan Zhushma at the Adriaticacafé, the pro-Russian Telegram channel Mash wrote, dismissing initial Russian reports of an attack on a bakery “full of civilians”.

The cafe was attacked while representatives of the occupation “authorities,” including the top brass of “emergency services,” “prosecutors,” and “deputies,” were reportedly gathered for a drinking session, journalist Denys Kazansky wrote earlier.

The Russians claimed that 28 people were allegedly killed in the attack.

“LPR” and “DNR” refer to temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts.
