Two die in a head-on collision on Riverview Drive in Perth Amboy

PERTH AMBOY – Two people died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision Friday afternoon on Riverview Drive.

Around 4 p.m. Friday, Perth Amboy police responded to Riverview Drive on a report of a vehicle collision. A total of five people were injured and trapped in the mangled vehicles and were promptly rescued by city firefighters, authorities said.

Unfortunately, two of the victims involved have succumbed to their injuries and an additional passenger is listed in critical condition at a local trauma center. A driver and juvenile passenger in the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital for evaluation, according to police.
