Two drivers killed during head-on collision in Scurry County

SCURRY COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Two drivers were killed during a head-on collision in Scurry County Monday night.

Thi Yen Ngoc Nguyen, 30, of Woodway, Texas, and Victor Mendez, 45, of Post, Texas, were both pronounced dead following the crash on Highway 84 north of Snyder around 8:30 p.m., according to a crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The report reveals Nguyen was traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes of the highway and was struck by Mendez’s vehicle head-on.

No one else was involved in this fatal crash and no further information has been released.
