Two drivers, one juvenile injured in Highway 30 crash

Jan. 27—Two adults and one juvenile were transported to MercyOne Clinton's Emergency Department on Friday for treatment of injuries sustained from a two-vehicle crash at Highway 30 and 330th Avenue near DeWitt.

According to a report by the Iowa State Patrol, at approximately 4:32 p.m. on Friday, a 2015 Ford Focus was traveling southbound on 330th Avenue, driven by an individual 71 years old from Camanche.

The driver of the Ford Focus attempted to cross Highway 30 and was struck by a 2013 Chevy Avalanche traveling westbound on Highway 30, the driver an individual 55 years old from Montour, Iowa, who was traveling with a juvenile.

The names of those involved in the accident are not being released at this time.

Westbound on Highway 30 was closed for approximately three hours during investigation of the accident, a release by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office states.

The accident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa State Patrol who were assisted at the scene by the Low Moor Fire Department, DeWitt Genesis Ambulance, Clinton Fire Department Ambulance, and the DeWitt Police Department.
