Two entire Western Kentucky towns have been placed under boil-water advisories

Two Webster County towns in Western Kentucky have been placed under a boil-water advisory following a main break.

The Henderson Water Utility says the advisory covers Sebree and Beech Grove. The utility says it is working to repair the leak, but in the meantime, residents are advied to use bottled or boiled water for drinking, preparing and cooking food.

Water should be brought to a full rolling boil for at least five minutes and then cooled before drinking. Water is okay for bathing, washing and other common uses. The utility is aware that some customers are without water and is working to restore service as quickly as possible.

The boil water advisory will remain in effect until the repairs are complete and laboratory samples have been tested and deemed safe. The utility says that customers with questions can contact them at 270-826-2824.
