Two events impact downtown Athens streets today

Aug. 5—Two events, the Piney Chapel Antique Tractor Parade and Singing on the Square, will impact downtown Athens streets today.

The parade will start at 11:30 a.m. It will begin at the Sheriff's Rodeo Arena, cross Elm Street onto Lucas Ferry Road, go left on Market Street, right on Hine Street, and go left on Washington Street. It will then turn left on Marion Street, go right on Pryor Street, left on Elkton Street, and then back to the arena.

Singing on the Square will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Marion Street between Washington Street and Market Street.
