Two people were injured and taken to Aventura Hospital after a boat crashed into a channel marker near Broad Causeway Bridge late Friday night, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Four people were aboard a 32-foot vessel and the accident occurred at around 11 p.m.

A photo taken from the scene shows the marker’s wooden post having sliced a few feet into the boat.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Indian Creek Police Department responded to the incident, and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating.

Neither the descriptions of the hospitalized people nor their conditions were made available as of Saturday afternoon. The vessel was towed from the crash site.
