Two hospitalized after large tree falls on vehicle in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Two people were hospitalized in Lancaster County after Troopers say a tree fell on a vehicle.

During heavy rain on Wednesday afternoon, a large tree fell on the front top windshield of a Toyota Highlander with two people inside it, State Police in Lancaster said in a news release.

Central Pennsylvania roads closed due to flooding

State Police say the accident happened in the area of Kirkwood Pike (SR472), just south of Black Rock Road, in Colerain Township.

The occupants were rushed to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment of their serious injuries.
