One dead, one injured after shooting near fairgrounds

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting was reported just west of the Ohio State Fairgrounds Saturday night.

Columbus police said the shooting happened on the 400 block of East 13th Avenue in the Indianola Terrace neighborhood at approximately 8:38 p.m.

Police said in a Sunday morning update that both male victims were found with multiple gunshot wounds and were taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. One of the victims was pronounced dead at 1:55 a.m. Sunday.

CPD has not released the identity of the victim while a dispatcher said that a possible suspect was detained at the scene.
