Two indicted in Forest Park killing

A man and woman have been indicted in the Forest Park shooting that left Mikail Jones dead, according to court records.

Phazion Whyte, 24, and Jasmine Jones, 27, are both charged with murder and felonious assault.

Mikail Jones was killed in May. Police said they found him shot inside a car at a Speedway on Northland Boulevard. He was 27.

Whyte was previously charged in the 2017 death of Adrian Bufford. Whyte was 19 at the time. In that case, he was pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in September 2018 and was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
