Two injured after car rear-ended by pickup truck on State Road 20 in Walton County

FREEPORT — Two people were injured after a truck rear-ended a car on State Road 20 in Walton County on Sunday evening.

A Ram pickup truck heading east on SR 20 about 5:50 p.m. crashed into the back of a Chevy Aveo after failing to notice the car slowing down to turn left onto JW Hollington Road near Freeport, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The pickup truck driver, a 31-year-old Ponce De Leon man, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Chevy Aveo, a 48-year-old Freeport man, was critically injured, the FHP reported.
