Two Injured in Charlotte Mall Shooting, Police Say

At least two people were injured in a shooting at a mall in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Thursday, December 15, police said.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon at Northlake Mall shortly before 3 pm.

On arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds. They were transported to a hospital, where their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

A suspect was taken into custody at the scene and a firearm was recovered, police said.
