Two New Jersey tickets win $1 million in Wednesday's Powerball
Sorry, New Jerseyans, you didn't win the $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot - someone in California did.
But, check your tickets carefully because two tickets sold in the Garden State matched all five white balls to win $1 million each, according to the lottery website.
New Jersey had two of the amazing 39 total tickets that won second-tier prizes. Plus, there were many more prize winners in the state, the New Jersey Lottery announced.
The two $1 million New Jersey tickets were sold at:
Elmwood Park: Metro Liquor on Broadway
Orange: Galaxy Liquors on Central Avenue
There was one $100,000 ticket sold in:
Jersey City: H&H Discount Liquors on Kennedy Boulevard
There were also 11 $50,000 winners:
Wood Ridge: 7-Eleven on Hackensack Street
Riverside: Krauszer’s on Pavillion Avenue
Runnemede: Food Plus on West Clements Bridge Road.
Kearny: Quick Chek on Kearny Avenue
Carteret: 7-Eleven on Roosevelt Avenue
Perth Amboy: Shoprite on Convery Boulevard
Ledgewood: BJ’s Wholesale Club on Howard Boulevard
Point Pleasant: 7-Eleven on Route 88
Passaic County: Jackpocket online app
Wanaque: USA Wine Traders Club on Ringwood Avenue
Manville: Royal Farms on North Main Street
Our neighbors in New York also had five of those million-dollar tickets, which were sold in: Latham, Bronx, Auburn, Clayton and White Plains.

Didn't win the Powerball? Well, the Mega Millions jackpot is at $720 million for Friday's drawing with a cash option of $369.6 million, according to the Mega Millions website.

How do I play Powerball?
The cost is $2 per ticket, but you can add the Power Play for $1, which will increase the amount of your potential prize up to five times the original prize (except for the jackpot and Match 5). There is also a 10x Power Play possibility when the jackpot is less than $150 million.
Each player selects five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. However, you can also have the lottery machine generate a quick pick ticket with random numbers for you.
Prizes vary from $4 for the matching the Powerball to $1 million for matching all five white balls (except in California) to the jackpot for matching all six balls. You can check all the prize payouts on the Powerball website here.

Where can I buy Powerball tickets?
You can play the game in 45 states plus the Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Many grocery stores, gas stations and convenience stores sell lottery tickets. Some states allow Powerball tickets to be purchased online, but beware of scam websites. Check with your state lottery for more details about online sales before purchasing tickets online.

The annuity option is paid out over time. There is an immediate payment and then 29 annual payments after that, increasing by 5% each year.
The cash option is significantly lower than the advertised jackpot, but it is paid in a lump sum. You don't have to wait decades for all the money.
