Two killed in crash on Highway 30 in Boone County

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 30 in Boone County left two people dead and caused minor injuries to three others.

Boone County resident Pamela Borkowski turned onto Highway 30 at Southeast Marshall Street in her 2017 Ford Escape, driving into the path of a 2008 Ford F-250 traveling west on the highway, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report. The Ford F-250 struck the Ford Escape, killing 55-year-old Borkowski and her 32-year-old passenger, Stephanie Borkowski.

All three passengers traveling in the Ford F-250 were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Both victims were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
