Two killed in head-on motorcycle crash north of Clyde

TOWNSEND TOWNSHIP – Two people were killed and a third seriously injured in a car-motorcycle wreck on Ohio 101 on Saturday afternoon.

Donald G. Brown Jr., 67, Clyde; and his passenger, Lisa M. Brown, 65, also of Clyde, were killed in the crash, which happened on Ohio 101 south of the turnpike in Sandusky County at approximately 4:11 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Fremont post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Brown was riding a 2014 red Harley Davidson Electra Glide, headed northeast, when a southwest-bound 2019 gray Nissan Sentra driven by Nancy L. Taylor, 72, of Clyde, went left of center, striking Brown's motorcycle head-on, according to the news release.

The Browns were not wearing helmets and sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.  Taylor, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash, according to the news release.  She was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky and is in stable condition.

The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Sandusky County EMS, Clyde Fire Department, Sandusky County Coroner’s Office and Rush’s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
