Two men arrested with 180 pounds of marijuana in Minnehaha County

Two men were arrested and booked into the Minnehaha County Jail on marijuana charges after being found with nearly 200 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle.

Sergio Barajas Morfin, 35 and Jorge Gonzalez Ledezma, 26, both from Los Angeles, were arrested and charged for possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute more than one pound of marijuana, according to court documents.

The pair were found with 180 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle, according to court documents. The arresting officer had to pry the trunk open.

Surfaces in the vehicle field tested positive for cocaine, according to court documents.

Barajas Morfin was given a $25,000 cash-only bond and Gonzalez Ledezma was given a $50,000 bond, according to court documents.

The pair have a preliminary hearing at the courthouse on May 12, according to court documents.
