Two Middletown shootings that were three days apart are believed to be related, police said.

The first shooting occurred Wednesday around 10:45 p.m., near Maplewood Terrace. No one was injured, police said.

On Saturday, more gunfire broke out around 6:45 p.m. on Williams Street, where a man was shot several times in the leg, police added.

“It is known that the parties involved know each other so there is no direct threat to the community,” Lt. Brian Hubbs said in a news release.

Police didn’t reveal any additional information as the investigation remains ongoing.
