NEW BRUNSWICK – Two more housing projects have been proposed in the city.

The plans, one on Easton Avenue and the other on and Lee Avenue, each with multiple apartments, are scheduled to go before the Zoning Board of Adjustment next week.

Applicant Maroun Chedid is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval and variances to demolish an existing home at 206 Easton Ave., and build a three-story mixed-use building with a commercial, retail or restaurant use on the ground level and apartments on the second and third floors.

Variances are being sought for floor area ratio, front yard setback and parking spaces, where 10 are required and none are proposed.

The application calls for continuing the non-conforming conditions of the lot, where 5,000 square feet is required, and the existing and proposed lot is 2,500 square feet.
