The Rahmi Yaggi cargo ship will deliver 5,300 tons of food to Turkey, while the Ocean Lion Panamax bulk carrier will deliver about 65,000 tons of corn to South Korea.

According to the ministry, this is already the second Panamax vessel to depart from Chornomorsk Sea Port.

The first grain vessel, called the Razoni, departed from Odesa Sea Port on Aug. 1. It was carrying 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn to Tripoli, Lebanon.

The ship arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, late on Aug. 2. After the vessel was inspected, it continued its journey to the Port of Tripoli on Aug. 3.

The first convoy of three ships with Ukrainian corn left the sea ports of Odesa Oblast on Aug. 5.

Earlier the UN and Turkey brokered a multi-lateral treaty between Ukraine and Russia on July 22, which provides for a flow of grain out of Ukraine’s Black Sea ports.

The agreement establishes a coordination center and on-board inspections, allowing participants to verify that cargo does not include any items related to either side’s war effort.
