Two MS Coast casinos make it on a list of Top 10 casino hotel resorts in USA Today poll

USA Today readers passed over most Las Vegas casinos and instead named resorts in Biloxi and other smaller markets to this year’s Top 10 best casino hotel in the nation.

Mohegan Sun in Connecticut again ranked as the top casino hotel in the nation, with two Coast casinos sharing the Top 10 in this new ranking from USA Today.

Readers said they appreciate how tribal stories come to life through the hotel’s design at Mohegan Sun, and rooms are outfitted with high-speed Wi-Fi, intelligent thermostats and other technology,.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi took the third spot in the rankings and Harrah’s Gulf Coast in Biloxi was No. 7.

The Beau Rivage got its place on the list with its waterfront location and amenities.

“When guests take a break from 24-hour gaming in the casino, they retire to the tropical pool and rooms and suites that feature panoramic views, plus state-of-the-art technology,” the press release said about the Beau Rivage.

Coastal views and the year-round heated outdoor pool helped Harrah’s Gulf Coast make the list. “When you’re not placing your bets or relaxing in your well-appointed room, grab a classic burger or Southern seafood while enjoying views of Biloxi Beach.,” the review said.

The 2023 Top 10 Best Casino Hotels are:

1. Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, Connecticut

2. Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City

3. Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Biloxi

4. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City

5. Mount Airy Casino Resort, Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania

6. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Atlantic City

7. Harrah’s Gulf Coast, Biloxi

8. Caesars Palace, Atlantic City

9. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, Florida

10. Bellagio Las Vegas

Nominees for the list are submitted by a panel of experts and USA Today’s “10 Best” editors narrow the field to select the final set of nominees. Readers can vote once per category, per day. Voting lasted for four weeks.

IP Casino Resort ranked seventh on the poll in 2022 and was the only Biloxi casino to make the list.
