Two Murfreesboro police officers injured by person with a box cutter
Two Murfreesboro police officers were injured after they were attacked by a person with a box cutter Friday afternoon, according to the department.
The officers were treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Both have been released, Murfreesboro Police Department spokesperson Larry Flowers said. One officer was treated for a cut to his face. The other, a cut to his arm.
Justin Gordon, 21, is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. The suspect is held on a $500,000 bond at Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
A hearing is set for Feb. 28. The investigation is ongoing.
