Two national retailers set opening dates for Birkdale Village shopping complex

Two national retailers will debut this month at the mixed-used Birkdale Village development in Huntersville, north of Charlotte.

Iconic fashion brand Lilly Pulitzer, based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, will open its second Charlotte-area store on Friday, Birkdale developer North American Properties said Wednesday. The first store opened at SouthPark mall in 2012.

Anthropologie, based in Philadelphia, specializing in women’s apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty, home decor, furniture and bridal, will open its third Charlotte-area store Sept. 20.

The openings come on the heels of three national and regional retail openings at Birkdale last month by The Cheesecake Factory, Southern Tide, a men’s, women and children’s apparel store, and Monkee’s women’s apparel store.

It’s all part of Birkdale Village’s redevelopment that includes business expansions, relocations and remodels by North American Properties and Nuveen Real Estate.
