Two passengers suffer minor injuries in multi-vehicle crash in Georgetown Township

GEORGETOWN TWP. — Two passengers suffered minor injuries in a multi-vehicle crash in Georgetown Township on Wednesday.

First responders from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and Life EMS were dispatched shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, to the intersection of Chicago Drive and Eighth Avenue for a personal injury crash.

Investigation showed a 1998 Chevy Silverado, driven by a 22-year-old Jenison man, was traveling south on Eighth Avenue and turned into a driveway when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2014 Kia Sedona driven by a 30-year-old Jenison woman.

Both drivers had minor injuries and were treated and released from the scene. There were two passengers in the Kia Sedona — a nine-month-old, who was uninjured, and a 22-year-old, who was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The passenger in the Chevy, 19, was also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
