Two people arrested in Boyne City on drug charges

BOYNE CITY — Two men were arrested on Thursday after the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement and Michigan State Police searched a home in Boyne City and found drugs and drug paraphernalia.

According to the Michigan State Police, detectives from Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement (SANE) and the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team executed a search warrant at a residence in Boyne City on the morning of Thursday, March 23.

Detectives discovered approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, suspected cocaine, clonazepam, gabapentin as well as digital scales and packaging materials. SANE forfeited approximately $1,550 in cash.

Two men were arrested and lodged in the Charlevoix County Jail pending arraignment for possible charges of delivery of methamphetamine x 3, delivery of cocaine, maintaining a drug house, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, possession of clonazepam, possession of gabapentin and using a computer to commit a crime.
