Two people injured in single-vehicle crash on Ohio 4 north in Marion County

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Friday afternoon in northern Marion County.

According to a press release issued by the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Lorenzo R.P. Johnson, 45, Marion, and an unidentified male were injured in the crash that happened at 12:23 p.m. on Ohio 4 north of Morral Kirkpatrick Road in Marion County.

Johnson was transported from the scene by Med Flight to The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. His injuries were not disclosed. No information about his condition was made available.

The unidentified male subject was transported to OhioHealth Marion General Hospital by Marion Township Fire and EMS. Authorities did not disclose his injuries in the press release. No information about his condition was made available.

Troopers said the preliminary investigation indicates Johnson was traveling southbound on Ohio 4 in a 2008 Acura RDX when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a boulder, then struck a residence before overturning. Troopers said Johnson was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The unidentified male was an occupant of the residence, according to investigators.

The crash remains under investigation, according to the press release issued by the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

In addition to Marion Township Fire and EMS, the Marion County Sheriff's Office, First Consolidated Fire and EMS, Salt Rock Township Fire and EMS, and Buckeye Collision and Towing assisted the Highway Patrol at the scene.
