Two people killed, two injured in Greene County traffic accident

Two people died in a head-on collision early Sunday morning on U.S. 11 in Greene County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Troopers said 31-year-old Jamal L. Parham of Eutaw and 39-year-old Temika M. Lynch were killed in the two-vehicle crash, which occurred at around 4:52 a.m.

Patrick Armstead, 33, of Forkland and Ebony Powell, 27, of Boligee were injured in the crash and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash involved a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Powell, and a 2011 Hyundai Tucson, driven by Armstead, troopers said. Parham was a passenger in the Sonata and Lynch was a passenger in the Tucson.

Troopers said no one involved in the crash used a seat belt.

The site of the crash was about 4 miles north of Eutaw in Greene County. Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are handling the investigation into the crash.
