Take Two to Release Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey in 2019
Take Two Interactive’s TTWO publisher Private Division and Panache Digital Games recently announced that Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be available in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and across the Xbox One family of devices.
The game is based in beautiful African lands, dating back to more than 10 million years. Players’ strategy to survive, evolve and combat predators in the ruthless terrain is of primary importance in this game. The players get to hone their skills, which they think is essential to be passed down to the next generation.
Panache Digital Games will make its debut with this new exploration survival game and assures players of challenging them in unexpected ways.
Robust Portfolio to Drive Growth
Take Two’s innovative product portfolio and slate of new releases are expected to drive its top line in the near term.
Apart from the release of Ancestors, Take Two is also set to release Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm on Feb 14. Players’ strategy in interacting with the forces of nature is significant in this Civilization VI expansion pack. Moreover, the company is also set to release The Outer Worlds in 2019, a sci-fi role-playing game (RPG).
Notably, the company released the highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2, ahead of the holiday season, and sold a record $725 million in retail within the first three days of its release.

Moreover, Borderlands 2 VR is an important addition to Take-Two’s gaming portfolio. The popularity of the franchise is evident from the fact that the company has sold 16 million units of the game worldwide to date.
Competition Rife
Take Two is expected to face significant competition in 2019. Activision ATVI is set to release Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, an online multiplayer racing game, on Jun 21, 2019. This HD game brings the most favored characters, karts and tracks for the players, coupled with loads of animation.
Electronic Arts’ EA Anthem set to release on Feb 22, which has won over 90 awards including the best PC game and best action game awards at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018, is expected to give tough competition to Take Two’s slate of new releases.
