Two new residential developments are being proposed for Menomonee Falls

Two new housing developments proposed for Menomonee Falls, one of them featuring 168 homes, would provide more variety in housing options for people who want to live in the area, Menomonee Falls Village Manager Mark Fitzgerald said.

Both proposals are expected to be considered by the village board Jan. 16.

"Both are projects that we worked with the developer to place it well into the village," said Fitzgerald.

One proposal by Menomonee Falls based HKG Investments is 79 single-family residential homes and six outlots in a 60-acre subdivision called Hawk's View at W180 N7573 Town Hall Road.

According to village documents, the homes will be both ranch and two-story houses that will include basements. Lot sizes will be approximately 0.40 acres.

The second proposal, Quiet Woods East, calls for 168 single-family homes on about 133 acres between Marcy Road and One Mile Road in Menomonee Falls, according to village documents. Each home will be on 0.39 acres.

Fitzgerald said that Quiet Woods East would have a pool and a clubhouse. He said that these will have the look of single-family homes but have the features of a condominium, such as having the lawn and yardwork taken care of by the homeowners association.

There are a few other housing proposals being worked on in Menomonee Falls. Pewaukee-based residential real estate developer Neuman Developments has plans to build a subdivision of about 365 housing units on 228 acres at the Silver Spring Golf Club.

There is also a residential subdivision project consisting of 53 homes proposed across from the Wanaki Golf Course on 25.5 acres.
