Two restaurants fail in latest Arlington health inspections

One restaurant was closed and two failed in the latest Arlington health inspections, according to city data.

There were 83 inspections from April 2 to April 8.

Arlington inspections are based on a 100-point system. A score of 100 is perfect and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Arlington inspection reports don’t list details of the violations.

First ToFu and Fast Food was closed April 4 after failing an inspection on March 27. This is the third time the restaurant has been closed in the past four months. It was closed on Dec. 3 and Dec. 6 and was reopened on Dec. 8.

The full service restaurant at Eso Mimosa Bar at 2150 E. Lamar Blvd. Suite 120 failed with a 69. The bar and lounge of the restaurant failed with a 57.

Nanglo Restaurant at 3980 N. Collins St. Suite 150 failed with a 66.

Four restaurants received scores of 75 or less including Eso Mimosa Bar and Nanglo Restaurant. The others were:

  • Spicy Bites Indian Fast Food at 1220 S. Cooper St. Suite 110, 71

  • Pho Pasteur Restaurant at 3330 Matlock Road Suite 102, 74

Five restaurants had follow-up inspections including Spicy Bites Indian Fast Food and Pho Pasteur Restaurant. The others were:

  • African Union Market at 831 Northeast Green Oaks Blvd., 76

  • Abu Omar Halal at 2300 W. Division St. Suite 100, 91

  • Studio Movie Grill at 225 Merchants Row, 95

Ten restaurants received perfect scores.
