Two Rivers High School teacher arrested after investigation into sexual conduct with a 17-year-old student

TWO RIVERS - A 34-year-old female high school teacher in the Two Rivers School District was arrested after police received information about the teacher's sexual conduct with a 17-year-old student, the Two Rivers Police Department said Tuesday night.

The suspect faces three possible charges of sexual assault against a child by a school instructional staff person, which is a Class H felony, police said. They said they believe there are no other victims.

A statement from Two Rivers School District administrator Diane Johnson said the district was told of the allegation Saturday. The teacher was immediately placed on administrative leave and has since resigned.

The investigation is ongoing. Police ask that anyone with information contact Detective Lieutenant Melissa Wiesner at the Two Rivers Police Department.
