There are two runoff elections Tuesday. Here’s who can vote, and where

A statewide runoff election between two Republican candidates for state Superintendent of Education and two Democrats for U.S. Senate will be held Tuesday in Beaufort County.

People can vote at the same polling location where they voted at in the June 14 primary election.

Voters must vote on the same party ticket in which they did earlier this month. People who did not vote on June 14 can choose either ballot.

The runoff candidates for state education supervisor are Kathy Maness and Ellen Weaver. They finished atop a crowded Republican field in the party’s primary but neither cleared the 50% threshold necessary to win outright. The winner of Tuesday’s runoff will face Democrat Lisa Ellis in November.

The Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate are Catherine Fleming Bruce and Krystie Matthews. The winner will face incumbent U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, who is seeking a second full term.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
