Two seriously injured in Sunday rollover crash

Mar. 27—Two people suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 29 a mile north of Dearborn, Missouri.

Damon K. Blackburn, 30, of Clarksville, Tennessee, was driving a 2011 Nissan Versa on the highway when he fell asleep and the vehicle went off the road, according to crash reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H.

The Nissan overturned before returning to its wheels, seriously injuring Blackburn and passenger Lacy R. Woods, 28, of Forrest Grove, Oregon, in the process, according to the crash report.

Both were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for their injuries, according to the crash report. Both were wearing seat belts at the time.
