With two state representatives vacating their seats, here’s who is on the ballot this fall in Sheboygan County.

Update: State Assembly District 27 candidate Patrick Johnson, R-Kohler, and U.S. Congressional District 6 candidate Irish Mike Mangan, R-Sheboygan, were both denied approval to appear on the ballot.

SHEBOYGAN - This fall, Sheboygan County voters will elect the county sheriff and clerk of circuit court.

Wisconsin voters will elect the entire State Assembly, half of the State Senate, the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state treasurer and secretary of state.

On a national level, all seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and half of the seats in the U.S. Senate are also up for election.

For Sheboygan County residents, Republican candidates dominate the ballot, with only Republican candidates running for State Senate District 9, one of the three Assembly Districts that cover parts of Sheboygan County and U.S. Congressional District 6.

Candidates filed nomination papers last week to appear on the ballot. Primary elections Aug. 9 will narrow the field for some positions ahead of the Nov. 8 election.
