Two-time Olympic medalist Jenn Suhr returns to Roberts Wesleyan as assistant coach

Two-time Olympic medalist Jenn Suhr is returning to her alma mater.

The world class pole vaulter and three-time Olympian has joined the coaching staff at Roberts Wesleyan University in Chili as an assistant track and field coach, the university announced this week.

In her new role, Suhr will oversee recruitment for student athletes competing in the university's pole vaulting program. She will coach the team alongside Chris Brhel, who will continue in his role as pole vault coach at the university, working together to build an elite program that will create pathways for future Olympic hopefuls in the sport.

Suhr, now 41, retired from the sport in 2022. She personally announced the news last weekend on Twitter and said she is excited to be returning to her alma mater to coach "is really a full circle moment."

A collegiate basketball player, Suhr tried pole vaulting in college, which led her to win 10 outdoor championships and seven indoor titles, beginning in 2005. She is a two-time Olympic medalist in the women's pole vault, including the gold medal at the 2012 Games in London.
