Two toddlers’ bodies were found unresponsive in a Roseville pool. A mother seeks answers

A Sacramento mother’s two toddlers died more than one week ago but she still doesn’t have a clue as to why it happened.

Alize Strong’s children, Sincere and Legend Robinson Strong, 2, were placed with a foster mother, she said. The Roseville Police Department said the twins were found Oct. 9 unresponsive at a swimming pool in a Waterford Glen residence.

But how the twins got into the pool and then died is unknown to Strong. She said the Roseville Police Department has not told her any details, such as if investigators believe there is foul play or if someone should be arrested.

“I still don’t even think it’s real,” Strong who said during a recent phone interview that she’s in a state of disbelief. “I want to see my babies actually.”

Sincere, left, and Legend Robinson Strong were found unresponsive in a residential swimming pool last week. Their biological mother is seeking answers about what happened after Roseville police kept mum on the details.

Lt. Chris Ciampa, spokesman for the Roseville Police Department, declined to answer any questions about the case, including if the foster mother is a person of interest in their investigation.

The foster mother could not be reached for comment.

Ken Casparis, a spokesman with the Sacramento Department of Child, Family and Adult Services, said by email that they are unable to comment on the case because the investigation is ongoing.

The circumstances which have been divulged to Strong don’t add up with what she knows about her children, she added.

With more questions than answers, Strong is left with memories of her children.

She recalled how Legend and Sincere would always smile and want to be in her arms when she visited. Social workers took her custody away about one year ago, she said.

“How did my kids even get to the pool?” Strong wondered theoretically. “How are they not being protected when they were supposedly took from me to be protected?”
