Two-vehicle crash on State Road 25 results in one death

Nov. 7—One man died and two others people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on State Road 25 at about 2:27 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

According to a press release from Cass County Sheriff Ed Schroder, Daniel Pranger, 36, of Tippecanoe, was driving southbound on State Road 25 in a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when he attempted to pass another vehicle south of County Road 650 N.

Pranger's vehicle struck a northbound 2022 Honda Pilot driven by Daniel Hood, 53, of Goshen.

Pranger was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle. He was airlifted to Parkview Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

According to the press release, Pranger was reported missing to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office before the crash occurred.

Cass County Emergency Medical Services transported Hood and his passenger Juli Hood to Logansport Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office, Logansport Police Department, Logansport Fire Department, Indiana State Police, Cass County Emergency Medical Services, Twelve Mile Fire Department, and Lucerne-Harrison Township Fire Department all responded to the scene.
