Two women die days after two-vehicle crash east of Springfield. Five children survive.

Two women died of injuries sustained in an Aug. 9 two-vehicle crash 2 miles east of Springfield, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

MSHP said that a westbound Honda Pilot driven by Viktoriya Moroz, 29, hydroplaned on wet roads near the intersection of Highway D and Farm Road 199, colliding with an eastbound Honda Civic driven by Angela G. Wilkinson.

Wilkinson, 56, died two days later at Cox South. Moroz, 29, died five days later at Mercy. Moroz had five young children in her vehicle who survived the crash.

Wilkinson lived in Rogersville and Moroz lived in Springfield.

A GoFundMe page has been created for the family of Moroz, a wife, mother of five and active member of the Slavic Springfield church, Home of God. Nearly $60,000 has been raised.

There have been 85 vehicle deaths in MSHP's Troop D this year.
