Two York County establishments now closed
YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A popular Italian restaurant and a Miami-style bar have officially both closed their doors in York County.
Two long-time York County establishments recently announced their upcoming closures back on Thursday, February 1.
The two closing businesses are The Cantina York, located at 105 South Duke Street, and Aviano’s Corner Trattoria, located at 101 South Duke Street. Both businesses opened their doors about seven years ago and are co-owned and operated by Toni Calderone and Allison Withrow.
According to a joint Facebook post that the two locations shared, The Cantina York officially closed back on Friday, February 2.
“We’ve had 7 great years here building a community centered around sitting at the table and breaking bread together. From live bands and DJs to paint & sips, cocktail classes, and drag brunches, we’ve loved building relationships and making memories with our neighbors,” the owners shared on Facebook. “Alas, all good things come to an end and this is ours.”
Recently, Aviano’s Corner Trattoria announced on Facebook that they decided to close their doors on February 16, due to an injury to their head chef. Originally, the restaurant was slated to close on February 24.
“Unfortunately due to recent events including the injury of our head chef we made the tough decision to close up shop effective immediately rather than provide a poor experience during Restaurant Week,” Aviano’s Corner Trattoria shared.

The owners cited life changes as the main reason for these closures. According to their post, their parent organization, ONE Hospitality Group, decided to simplify and instead focus on growing their Presto Fast Italian brand instead.
“We want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the community members who have supported us over the years by sitting at our table, buying tickets, sharing posts, and sharing with friends. We owe it all to you!”
