2 young children shot in Price Run neighborhood of Wilmington early morning July Fourth

Wilmington police are investigating a shooting that injured two young boys in the Price Run neighborhood just after midnight on July Fourth.

Police found the boys, a 6-year-old and 7-year-old, with gunshot wounds in the 2300 block of N. Pine St. Police said the victims arrived at the hospital in stable condition.

This marks the state's youngest shooting victims this year. The second youngest person shot was an 8-year-old in Wilmington on June 20.
