Who is Tyler Cameron? What to know about 'Bachelor' star before he tees it up with Tua at Cognizant Classic

Who knew golf fans and Bachelor Nation had something in common?

The 2024 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches is scheduled to begin on Thursday. Feb. 29, kicking off the PGA Tour’s "Florida Swing."

On top of the professionals playing in the tournament, there will be a celebrity group participating, which will include Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, sports commentator Ahmad Rashad and "The Bachelor" alum Tyler Cameron.

Cameron has wooed the women of America ever since his debut on "The Bachelorette" five years ago. Before he makes his first swing on the course, here's what to know about the Florida native.

Where is Tyler Cameron from?

Cameron was born and raised in Jupiter, just 30 minutes outside of West Palm Beach. He graduated from Jupiter Community High School and attended Wake Forest University.

He later enrolled in the Florida Atlantic University College of Business and received a Master of Business Administration degree.

"Isn't it nice?" Cameron told Hannah Brown, the leading lady on "The Bachelorette" he was on. "Jupiter is a beautiful place!"

Cameron eventually moved back to Florida after his time on “The Bachelorette.” He told The New York Post that he’s focusing on remodeling his fixer-upper on the Hobe Sound and looking for “the one."

When was Tyler Cameron on ABC's 'The Bachelorette'?

Tyler was cast for season 15 of The Bachelorette in 2019, with Brown leading the season. At the time of filming, he was 26 years old and listed his occupation as a "general contractor."

Throughout the season, Cameron quickly rose up in both Brown's and Bachelor Nation's ranking. By mid-season, he was dubbed as a fan favorite due to his charisma, his quickness to shutdown drama created by villain Luke Pell and his romantic actions towards Hannah.

Cameron is also the source of the "Salmon Jacket" lore that has continued to more recent seasons (did anyone notice recent Bachelor Joey Graziadei wearing one?). The pink jacket became an inside joke amongst fans after they noticed multiple men on Brown's season wearing it, Cameron later confessing he owned one of the two.

He ended up making it to the final two spots. However, shockwaves were felt around the reality television universe when Cameron exited the limo on the final episode and Brown turned down his proposal.

Did Tyler Cameron and Hanna Brown end up together?

Despite breaking up with her final pick, Jedd Wyatt, before the finale even aired, Brown and Cameron didn't end up together in the end.

There was a moment on the "After the Final Rose" special where Brown asked if he would like to go on a date and catch-up, to which Cameron accepted. However, it wasn't the epic rekindling fans were hoping for.

Since then, the pair have both maintained that they are on good terms after everything they have been through. Brown announced engagement to boyfriend Adam Woolard last year.

“We've been in touch and I'm thrilled for her,” Cameron told the New York Post. “She's going to be a great wife and great mother to those kids one day."

Was Tyler Cameron on Bachelor in Paradise?

He has not. Even though he is touted as one of the most popular people in Bachelor Nation, he hasn't made an reappearance since 2019.

During his interview on the podcast Chicks in the Office, he admitted "he doesn't see it playing out well" if he were to go on the hit spinoff. So if any fans had hopes of Cameron making a late appearance on the beach, that ship has sailed.

While he might not have ended up with Brown, Cameron has dated his fair share of celebrity ladies.

In August 2019, he was spotted in New York City with model Gigi Hadid. Outlets claimed the pair were seen doing various activities together over the course a few months. It was even reported that he attended the funeral of Hadid's grandmother in September.

The pair ended things around November 2019.

According to Screenrant, Cameron has allegedly dated influencer Stassie Karanikolaou, reality star Kristen Cavallari and model Paige Lorenze.

Since his first appearance on television, Cameron has graced our screens in multiple ways.

According to IMBD, he has appeared in Single Parents (2020), Good on Paper (2021) and did a cameo on Saturday Night Live when Kim Kardashian hosted. He competed in two other reality shows — Fox’s U.S. adaptation of Australian dance competition show “The Real Dirty Dancing" and Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

In 2021, Cameron came out with "You Deserve Better: What Life Has Taught Me About Love, Relationships, and Becoming Your Best Self." It seeks to explore everything he’s learned through his past relationships and give advice to readers on love.

What is Tyler Cameron doing now?

When he isn’t giving Bachelor Nation googly eyes or attending charity galas, he’s still making a name for himself as a general contractor. He’s done some modeling as well.

And he’s now a restaurateur. Last December, he was spotted at a 3Natives acai bowl shop location on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach that opened in August. He’s part-owner of this location, according to the 3Natives website. And as seen on some videos on his social media, he renovated the shop himself.

He told The Palm Beach Post that he hopes to eventually own 10 locations of the Florida-born restaurant chain that sells acai bowls, smoothies, juices, wraps and salads.

It should also be noted that while Cameron hasn’t announced any upcoming TV appearances, the filmography section of his Wikipedia profile does mention a 2024 show called “Going Home with Tyler Cameron.”
