"Hello From The Hills" benefits the Hello In There Foundation — a non-profit launched by the family of John Prine that raises funds to support marginalized communities in Nashville — and Hope In The Hills, an organization fighting opioid addiction co-founded by Childers.

As part of the event, organizers at Hello In There and Hope In The Hills plan to issue $10,000 grants to four local organizations: Residential recovery program Healing Housing; the Raphah Institute, which aids those impacted by youth incarceration and victim trauma; the Keith Dixon Foundation, a substance abuse resource; and Recovery Community, a housing resource for those struggling with drug dependency.

Oh Boy Records, a longtime independent label co-founded by the late Prine, produces the concert with WhizBangBam, a management company representing Childers and McKinley, among others.
