Tyler Is Wondering if Denim Mini Skirts Are Back
Paging my younger self!
Like any girl who came of age in the late '90s and early-aughts, I owned an entire arsenal of denim mini skirts, ranging in everything from washes to level of distress. (The more of the latter the better, of course.) As the various fashions of my youth have made a comeback on the recent wave of nostalgia trends, I've ruled out jumping back into any of my once-beloved styles — except the denim mini.
I'm not sure what it is about this skirt that calls to me so much; memories of a simpler time, perhaps? But there's something about it that feels like it could become one of the most versatile items in my closet. I've yet to really find a pair of denim shorts that work for me, so it could sub out for a late-summer outfit with sandals and a graphic tee. In winter, I could throw on some tights and a pair of boots for a kind of model-off-duty feel.
Maybe I can't be 17 forever, but that's not going to stop me from getting this skirt.
