Typhoon Hinnamnor Causes Power Outages in Southwestern Japan

Typhoon Hinnamnor approached Japan on Tuesday, September 6, bringing torrential rain and strong winds, after having a deadly impact on South Korea, according to local news reports.

Local news reported that around 38,000 homes experienced power outages, railway transportation was disrupted, and flights were canceled due to the typhoon.

The Japan Meteorological Agency urged people to remain vigilant and to watch out for high waves.

The typhoon is expected to downgrade to an extratropical cyclone by the evening of September 6, according to local news reports.
