Tyra Banks rolls out ModelLand tickets

Tyra Banks is preparing for the launch of her new experiential attraction Modelland.

The supermodel first announced her plans to launch the ticketed concept, described as "a place where everyone can live the ultimate modeling fantasy," last year. Now, fashion fans can get their hands on tickets to the attraction ahead of its opening later in 2020.

Located in Santa Monica, California, ModelLand promises to combine "the glamour of 'America's Next Top Model,' the whimsy of Willy Wonka, and the magic of Disneyland" with the aim of making fashion and beauty "a fun, theatrical, and empowering experience for all." In a YouTube video announcing the ticket sales, Banks states: "Imagine a place that's full of fierce, and fantasy. Photoshoots and runways. Storytelling and theater. A place that celebrates beauty and you."

The ModelLand website lists ‘general access' tickets at $59, with children's versions at $39. A ‘Fantascene Photoshoot' ticket costs $549, while a ‘Fantascene Dream' will cost $1,495.

Announcing the concept last year, Banks said: "I want people to feel seen and validated. Modelland will provide the tools for them to do so and empower them to embrace, adorn and celebrate their own unique beauty. Modelland is all about celebrating your flawsome self. We are fun. We are fierce. We are fantasy. And, we are for real."

Banks, who rose to fame in the 1990s to become one of the most powerful models in the industry, has had a busy few months. The "America's Next Top Model" host was one of three cover stars for the 56th edition of the iconic Sports Illustrated (SI) Swimsuit issue last May, before being unveiled as an ambassador for the fashion brand Nine West back in September. She also recently appeared in Moschino's Spring/Summer 2020 campaign.
