Tyrese Haliburton, Chris Duarte still out for Pacers

TORONTO ‒ All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton and guard Chris Duarte were both listed as questionable with ankle injuries in Wednesday's injury report, giving hope that they might be available for the game against the Raptors. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said neither will be available in his pregame press conference.

Haliburton has missed the Pacers' past five games. The first two against the Pistons were due to a left knee bruise and appeared to be more for precautionary reasons, but he injured his ankle in practice on March 15 and Carlisle said then it could be "a while" before he returned. Carlisle has said Haliburton has been making progress, but hasn't indicated a timeline.

Duarte sprained his left ankle in November and missed six weeks and has been dealing with pain since. He apparently aggravated it in the Pacers' loss to the Pistons on March 13, coming out of the game, and he has missed the three games since.

Haliburton leads the Pacers with 20.8 points per game and ranks second in the NBA with 10.4 assists per game. Duarte is averaging 8.0 points per game this season.
