LSU earned an honor from the SEC following their 49-42 win over Florida.

Tyrion Davis-Price, LSU’s starting running back, earned Co-Offensive SEC Player of the Week honors after breaking Leonard Fournette’s single-game rushing record. Davis-Price finished the day with 287 yards rushing and three rushing touchdowns. The previous record was 285 rushing yards for Fournette against Ole Miss back in 2015.

Ty Davis-Price now has 575 yards rushing on the season, which is fifth in the SEC (he sits behind Brian Robinson Jr., Isaiah Spiller, Tyler Badie, and Chris Rodriguez Jr.). David-Price only had 288 rushing yards heading into this game against Florida, and had it not been for his performance against Kentucky the week prior (147 rushing yards, two touchdowns vs the Wildcats), he would have been sitting at 28.2 rushing yards per game heading into Florida.

LSU’s running game is going to need to get their run game going to finish out the year if they want a shot at bowl eligibility.
