U.S. 1 goes single-lane in Bensalem Thursday night and other road work this week

Bridge work on U.S. 1 in Bensalem will bring an overnight traffic shift between Highland Avenue and Street Road late next week.

Both directions of U.S. 1 will be reduced to a single lane starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday through 6 a.m. the following morning as part of a project to widen and repair the highway.

As part of the same project, road crews will also have Rockhill Drive reduced to a single lane weekdays between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard.

For the most part, however, drivers across the area will be contending with a handful of other ongoing road projects to get around Bucks County this week.

Here's a breakdown of all the PennDOT travel advisories you'll need to know. All projects are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday unless otherwise noted.
